About Sherburn Forge

We have been trading since the late 1980s and started out as traditional blacksmiths.

The family business, started by father Chris Cade and son Lee, set up a workshop from home specialising in architectural commissions and small structural projects. We soon gained a reputation for producing a wide range of high quality work.

Over the years the family business grew when Chris's other son Ian joined the company, and peaked with a workforce of around 35 employees, to become major manufacture and installer of all types of architectural and industrial metalwork.

Working in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and glass our products can be tailored to almost any requirement.

We currently operate from two facilities, one at Sherburn and the other at Helperthorpe

At Sherburn Forge we pride ourselves in developing your ideas into finely crafted gates, railings, windvanes, staircases and individual bespoke commissions from the traditional to the bizarre!

We also have years of experience restoring ageing and historic metalwork and castings.
